Ford VersionLight Truck Product Training

The LT-2 course is the newest in the Precision Truck Training series of distance-education courses in truck selection and application. TMI courses provide training on two levels: generic coverage of fundamental truck knowledge, coupled with product application exercises. The Ford brand course includes a Ford specific product studies section. Each of the five exams blend generic product questions with Ford questions answered by using the by using the Ford Truck and SUV Source Books.

TMI courses in truck selection and application are self-paced and flexible, with no travel time or cost. Cost effective in-depth product training will provide your staff with the knowledge and confidence to excel.

LT-2: Light Truck Essentials course was developed around a generic product line providing broad spectrum knowledge. Topics and examples utilize a TMI-created Shadow line of SUVs, crossovers, pickups, light- and medium-duty chassis-cabs. These TMI Shadows fully represent the current mix of Class 1-5 trucks sold in North America. The Ford version of this course goes on to train and test the students knowledge of the Ford light truck product line..

Graduates complete five written tests using the TMI textbook. Ford students require acess to the Ford Source Books. The five achievement tests are completed after studying each lesson. They are mailed or faxed to TMI for individual grading by the instructor. Printed textbooks are included with all enrollments. An eBook option is available for US$30 with the LT-2 course.

Ford Light Truck Essentials are covered in TMI’s LT-2 course. The Ford version of this course is perfect for anyone selling Ford trucks. Lesson 2: Load Capacity, Frame Types and Strength, Suspension Systems, Types of Axles, Drive Gears, Differentials, Springs and Ratings, Shocks and Stabilizer Bars, Tires and Wheels; Construction, Tread Designs, Sizes, Load Ratings, Gross Axle Weight Ratings.

Lesson 3: The Three-Way Test: Obey the Limits, Weight Distribution in Percentages, Weight Distribution: Pickup, Full-Size SUV: Pushing the Limits, how to avoid Excesses.
